Pompano Beach, Florida - (Cheap Web Hosting Directory) - August 2, 2007 - Domain Asset Management system provider, Moniker.com, has reported that over $680,000 worth of premium domain names were sold, during the Affiliate Summit East Domain Name Auctions.

Included in the top auctions, were: Passover.com, Pay.mobi and FileCabinet.com. The inaugural Live and online Silent domain name auctions, were held at the Hotel Intercontinental, in Miami, Florida. Moniker has pioneered the domain name auction, hosting over 10 Live and Silent auctions since 2004 selling nearly $40 million worth of domains combined at past events. The Live Auction took place during the Summit on July 9; the concurrent online Silent Auction closed July 17. The combined events sold over 150 domain names.

Strider URL Tracer with Typo-Patrol PDF Print E-mail
When a user visits a Web site, her browser may be instructed to visit other third-party domains without her knowledge. Some of these third-party domains raise security, privacy, and safety concerns. The Strider URL Tracer, available for download, is a tool that reveals these third-party domains, and it includes a Typo-Patrol feature that generates and scans sites that capitalize on inadvertent URL misspellings, a process known as typo-squatting. The tool also enables parents to block typo-squatting domains that serve adult ads on typos of children's Web sites.
